Enliven is a furniture collection that utilizes two resourceful and regenerative materials; compressed bamboo and rPET felt, to create a uniquely modular design that may appeal to a wider range of users in the effort to reduce waste within furniture production.

Sustainable Design Created in China
ArtCenter College of Design X Neuni Labs ︎︎︎
Through a collaboration between ArtCenter College of Design and Neuni Labs, I had the opportunity to tour over 30 factories, design studios and material manufacturers across China in the span of 3 weeks. This research phase was conducted to fuel innovative and sustainable designs based off of the unique setting of the Chinese marketplace.
Sustainable Material Selection

Impactful, Circular Living
The name Enliven comes from the effort to design environmentally conscious and circular living for the home, and to impact the user's every-day environment into being increasingly balanced and harmonious through the effective use of form and materials.
Inspired by the Effort to Create Sustainable Production Now ︎︎︎
Along our research trip we toured various furniture factories across the country. With each visit, we were told of the manufacturer's efforts to create more sustainable methods of production by 2030. I saw this as a unique opportunity to develop a new line of sustainable furniture using current technology and methods of production, all while creating a unique design to fit the greater marketplace.
The Collection
My original design started with a single lounge chair, but as I saw further opportunities of application, I continued to design a dining chair, bar stool, side table, coffee table, and dining table.
